Unknown Petrolia or Oil
Springs. A rare tintype pic of a house.I can't
make out the name on the back but it says
'Enniskillen'. The boy on the far
left threw his hat on the ground and seems to
be a little unhappy.. Purchased
at a Petrolia garage sale and the lady said it
was the family farm just outside
of town somewhere South.I wish I would have
gotten more detail from her.
Very early pic from Petrolia area.

This place may have been
in the east end
The picture you have of
homes in Petrolia,
and the one that says maybe in the East End.
That is the house I grew up
in, it was Walter McDonald’s, my Grandfather
who raised me. Wendy and Butch
bought it when my mom died, rented it out and
it was gutted by fire. They
built the new house on it when they came home
from Saudi Arabia. It was at

I think this pic might
be partially about the new lawn mower. This
may have been a significant purchase in the
late ca.1800s.

This is a pic that
was included in a group of hundreds of
Petrolia and area negatives. It is the only
one that has not been identified, Most people
have said that it is the Fairbank
Mansion or CEE. However it is not
either. If you know what house it
is let me know.
